When I was and a little tiny boy
With a hey, ho, the wind and the rain
A foolish thing was but a toy
For the rain it raineth every day.
A group of students had performed at the Abbey a couple of times in the 1970s, but the current run of Abbey Shakespeare productions in St Dogmaels Abbey began with Twelfth Night in 1987. A riotous comedy of mistaken identity, it also has its wistful and reflective moments, and remains one of Shakespeare's most popular plays.
