Cymbeline
2024

31st July to 3rd August

O for a horse with wings! Hear'st thou Pisanio?
He is at Milford Haven. Read, and tell me
How far 'tis thither. If one of mean affairs
May plod it in a week, why may not I
Glide thither in a day?

Imogen, daughter of the British king Cymbeline, has married her childhood sweetheart Posthumus. But he is the son of a mere soldier, and her father banishes him in fury. So begins the story of love, loss, deception and reconciliation that has all the qualities of a classic fairy tale. We have chosen this rarely-performed play, one of the last that Shakespeare wrote and partly set in Wales, for our 37th production.

Tickets will be available nearer the time.
